Eli and Zeb met in 2016 and soon started working together in the Covfefe project. In 2017, Eli joined Sevium and Covfefe was put on hold. By the end of 2017, the Covfefe project was reborn as Godfray and has been active since.
Zeb, born in Italy, started playing guitar in middle school. Around this time, he discovered bands like Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, In Flames, Megadeth, and many others, but it did not take long for him to fall in love with the guitar.
By the time he was 17, he had already joined a number of bands before moving to the USA. There, he started playing drums and eventually joined a local band called Illusions Preferred. Once the project fell apart, he joined the US Army and took a break from music for a number of years, until he purchased an Ibanez 7-string from a fellow soldier whom he had started playing with on occasion.
A few years later, he settled in Normal, IL, where he joined Dead Eyed Syndicate as a bass player, to eventually become its drummer in 2017. Today, Zeb is the drummer for both Godfray and Sevium, and has a solo project he has been working on since mid-2019.
