Matt, began playing guitar when he was 16. He started playing inspired by his father and his favorite band, Sevendust. He joined his first band called Spiralshift in 2004. His influences are Sevendust, Trivium, and Dope (the band).
Matt has two reasons he plays guitar: because he feels that deep down he is a musician, and because he hopes to be able to open for Sevendust one day.
Eli is the vocalist and bassist for Sevium. “Music is nice. Decided to play bass at 15. Couldn’t reach Getty status so I started playing guitar. And then there was the singing in the car with Bruce and Rob.
Was in some band-like situations here and there. Played a couple shows. Then in 2009 started taking music more seriously and joined Krypter(’09-’12). Took a break after that until we find ourselves right here.”
Zeb, born in Italy, started playing guitar in middle school. Around this time, he discovered bands like Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, In Flames, Megadeth, and many others, but it did not take long for him to fall in love with the guitar.
By the time he was 17, he had already joined a number of bands before moving to the USA. There, he started playing drums and eventually joined a local band called Illusions Preferred. Once the project fell apart, he joined the US Army and took a break from music for a number of years, until he purchased an Ibanez 7-string from a fellow soldier whom he had started playing with on occasion.
A few years later, he settled in Normal, IL, where he joined a band where he met Matt. Today, Zeb is the drummer for both Godfray and Sevium, and has a solo project he has been working on since mid-2019.
